In some South Indian tales, the pink ruby is called the “Hridaya Ratna” or Heart Jewel, said to be born from a single tear of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and love, at the first blush of sunrise. Wearing one was believed to open the heart chakra and attract prosperity and true affection.

The colour of this stone is amazing. period. The ruby changes colour in different lighting, with a beautiful, almost magenta, tone in the shade and a stunning hot pink in pure sunshine.

Reflected in the price is that the stone has some inclusions which I've made sure are visible in the pictures so you can see exactly what you're purchasing, they are only visible to the naked eye in certain lighting. Inclusions in natural rubies are very common and almost like the fingerprint of each unique stone. I'll be blown away if anyone else can find a similar sized ruby and diamond halo for less than a few thousand ££££!
